AI is a Tool, Consciousness is You

The pendulum rises when life becomes strange. Success begins in moments that look like nonsense. A new team enters and the fear shows through polite smiles. They are welcomed, yet the ego of long standing employees quietly resists. In this tension the Hermetic pendulum gathers height. Every rejection stores energy. Every awkward beginning becomes the force that lifts the next movement. The new team raises above and overcomes the staleness of the old ones.
Intellectual circles, like the ones Richard Smoley describes in his Fifty years in the Gurdjieff Work article, reveal how people resist transformation more than ideas. Business environments behave the same way. People reject what threatens their identity. They call it nonsense until the pendulum swings high enough for them to see the pattern forming above their own assumptions. In the same way, teams initially reject unfamiliar perspectives or call them “nonsense” because accepting them requires a shift in identity, not just an adoption of new ideas. Resistance continues until the broader pattern becomes undeniable.
Creativity does not live inside a schedule. It works through dreams, subconscious processing, sudden openings in the mind. It surrounds the thinker at all hours. Business leaders who treat creativity like a work shift or a job schedule never understand why innovation slips through their fingers. The real work happens when the conscious mind is quiet and the deeper layers of the subconscious begin to move.
Surprisingly, Kabbalah has a place in business because it describes how thought becomes form. The Tree of Life is a map of creation. Inspiration appears (Kether / Chokmah — pure ideation, raw spark), Structure forms (Binah — boundaries, operational limits, definition), Beauty emerges (Tiphereth — harmony, value, alignment, heart), Foundation stabilizes (Yesod — systems, habits, underlying platform), the Result enters the world (Malkuth — physical execution, product launch, revenue). People cling to self‑help because it feels easier than consciousness, it is closer, and seem to have a practical application. Awareness demands effort. Awareness demands change and responsibility for the inner architecture that shapes outer results. It requires the true self to become the leader.
Evanescence offers their work generously on YouTube, and millions listen. The message enters through rhythm and emotion. Who Will You Follow song speaks of losing the sense of reality, of desire as fire, of waking inside a fever dream, of a crack in the matrix that opens when consciousness breaks through the veil. It asks who one follows when faith in the familiar dissolves. It carries the line about giving everything the other will ever be. It carries the moment when identity blurs and something deeper begins to rise. The band is successful because they open something in people. They create an entry point into the subconscious. They give the listener a moment of awakening wrapped inside melody.
This is their opening. What is yours?
Fear and perceived authority are born in our own projection. We invest our energy, devotion, and creative vitality into external structures or organizations until they appear larger than life. But the truth remains: we gave them everything they will ever be. Once you realize that the power, structure, and fear were granted by your own mind, the illusion breaks, and you reclaim total authorship over your work and life. That is what Evanescence’s song is subtly suggesting to the unconscious mind.
Songs bypass the rational mind. They deliver meaning through emotion. The artist finishes a tour, earns money, and moves on, but the message continues working inside the collective mind. People have grown numb to advertising. Noise no longer persuades. Meaning persuades. Experience persuades. Human presence does it. This is why people will not trust an algorithm without lived experience behind it. AI is a tool. It can assist, accelerate, and clarify, but it cannot replace the consciousness that moves the pendulum.
Nonsense is the beginning. Fear is what comes next as no anchor might be seen. Awareness is the turning point where the self is recognized. When that is realized, all becomes genuine. Creativity is the engine. Consciousness becomes the leadership. This way, the pendulum rises higher.
